Prashant Singri, MD
Dr. Prashant Singri is a board-certified dermatologist at Schaumburg Dermatology, which has served the area since 2005. He sees patients of all ages for medical and surgical dermatology throughout the week, and sees return patients one Saturday a month.
Background and Training
Dr. Singri was born and raised in Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University and completed his medical training at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. After an internship at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center, he completed a two-year research fellowship at Northwestern University, investigating therapies for skin diseases including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, cutaneous lymphoma, vitiligo, and actinic keratosis (precancerous skin lesions).
He then completed his dermatology residency in the Department of Dermatology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. He stayed on as clinical faculty at Northwestern for seven years, including heading the psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis clinic, before turning his focus to Schaumburg full-time. He continues to be a member of the faculty at Northwestern, and he has recently returned to Rush University to teach the next generation of dermatologists in training.

Dr. Singri’s clinical interests center on inflammatory skin disease — psoriasis above all, an area he researched for two years before his residency and continued to treat for seven years as clinical faculty at Northwestern — and on complex dermatological cases, the patients who have seen several doctors without a clear answer. Beyond that, he provides full-scope medical and surgical dermatology for patients of every age, from routine skin cancer checks and biopsies to acne, eczema, and skin cancer removal.
